New Video Presentation: “Three Admirals: Sir John Fisher” by Dr Scott Lindgren
This is the last of three presentations from Maritime History North’s ‘Three Admirals’ conference which was held at The Athenaeum, Liverpool in October 2021. Well-known historian Dr Scott Lindgren examines the role of Admiral of the Fleet Sir John (‘Jackie’) Fisher in transforming the Royal Navy from global policeman of the Pax Britannica era into a modern force capable of meeting the challenges posed by German naval expansion in the years leading up to the First World War.
