Welcome to the Liverpool Maritime Society’s website. Our Society was formed in 1938 as the Liverpool Nautical Research Society, to encourage interest in Liverpool’s maritime history and to help preserve a ‘maritime epoch.’ We changed our name to the Liverpool Maritime Society in 2022.
We hold Talks on a wide range of maritime topics each month from September to May at The Athenaeum, Liverpool and, in addition, we publish a highly readable quarterly journal titled ‘The Bulletin‘.
On this website you will find full details of future Talks. Our expanding library of video recordings of previous Talks is available to members only.
